Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, located approximately 6 km south of Kibale National Park’s Kanyanchu Visitor Center, is a 4-square-kilometer area rich in biodiversity. Situated in the Magombe Swamp, it is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including over 200 bird species such as the Great Blue Turaco, Papyrus Gonolek, and various hornbills . The sanctuary also hosts eight primate species, including the red colobus, black-and-white colobus, red-tailed monkey, and L’Hoest’s monkey
