Victoria Nyanza Sailing Club Uganda Lake Victoria
90 days ago, a group met on shores of lake Victoria and decided to start a sailing club. This Saturday 24 Feb 2024, you are invited to celebrate Victoria Nyanzi Sailing Club’s ‘Granite Jubilee 90TH ANNIVERSARY at the Club in kaazi.
Ninety Years of Adventure on Lake Victoria: A Celebration of the Victoria Nyanza Sailing Club
The Victoria Nyanza Sailing Club Uganda Lake Victoria is celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2025, marking a significant milestone in its history. The club is planning a series of events to commemorate this occasion.
A full day of activities is planned for the whole family, starting with the Recycled Raft Races on the lake (an annual event for kids) and exhibitions about recycling from 9:00 AM. The afternoon’s activities include tree planting and the official opening ceremony of the Granite Jubilee at 3:00 PM.
Evening Celebrations
Live music and barbecue will follow until late, but please note that tickets for the evening event are now sold out.
Recycled Raft Races
Rafts are made from recycled plastic bottles. The raft races take place from 9:00 AM on Lake Victoria.
